How to check if you got a SIR notice in Delhi
- Open the Delhi search and enter your EPIC ID, or switch to name search and pick your district and assembly constituency.
- Read the verdict: present in the draft roll, present but clarification sought when a notice was issued, or listed in a deletion report.
- For a notice, open the source PDF linked on the result and read the printed reason. Reply with the requested documents through the Voters' Service Portal ("Submit Document Against Notice") or at your ERO's office before 29 October 2026.
- If your name is missing from the draft roll or sits in the ASD deletion list, file Form 6 with the SIR declaration by 30 September 2026. Use Form 8 for a corrected address or spelling.
- Keep the acknowledgement. Call 1950 to find your BLO or ERO, or use the CEO Delhi contact directory.
Why notices are issued: the printed reasons
Every notice list row carries one or more of these reasons, which the search translates into plain language:
- Unmapped with last SIR: the voter could not be linked to any record in the previous intensive revision.
- Self name mismatch: the voter's name differs from the linked earlier record.
- Parent name mismatch: the father's or mother's name differs from the linked earlier record.
- Parent age difference under 15 or over 50: the age gap with the linked parent is implausible.
- Progeny age gap under 9 months: two children linked to the same parent are less than nine months apart.
- Progeny six or more: six or more voters are linked as children of one parent record.
- Grandparent age difference under 40: the age gap with the linked grandparent is implausible.
- Parent marked ineligible in last SIR: the linked parent was struck off in the previous revision.
Frequently asked questions
How do I check whether my name is in the Delhi SIR 2026 draft electoral roll?
Enter your EPIC ID (three letters and seven digits) in the search. The result shows whether the EPIC appears in the Delhi draft roll published on 31 August 2026, with the assembly constituency, part and serial number. You can also search by name and relative's name within a district and constituency. Confirm every match in the ECI's official electoral search.
How do I find out if I received a SIR notice in Delhi?
Search your EPIC ID. If it appears in CEO Delhi's published lists of persons issued notices, the result shows the printed reason (for example unmapped with last SIR or a name mismatch) and links to the source PDF. Notices must be answered before the ERO's disposal date of 29 October 2026.
What is the Delhi ASD deletion list and why is my name on it?
The ASD (Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate) uncollectable-elector deletion reports list voters whose enumeration forms could not be collected during the house-to-house visits, with a reason such as shifted, absent, dead or duplicate. Names in these lists were not carried into the draft roll. If you are on it and still eligible, file Form 6 with the SIR declaration by 30 September 2026.
What is the last date for claims and objections in Delhi?
Claims and objections on the Delhi draft roll close on 30 September 2026. The notice phase and disposal of claims runs to 29 October 2026, and the final electoral roll is due on 4 November 2026.
Is this an official Election Commission website?
No. DataChutney is an independent, unofficial index built from the publicly published draft roll, deletion lists and notice lists. It carries no personal data beyond what CEO Delhi and the ECI have published. Every match should be verified in the official ECI search, and only your Electoral Registration Officer decides applications.
